                                                         About Dr. Patsy Torres

Dr. Patsy Torres is a renowned recording artist and cultural ambassador who has played a significant role in expanding the reach of Texas/Tejano music across the United States and internationally as the first Tejana performer to tour overseas, performing for audiences in twelve countries and introducing global audiences to Texas music. As a featured attraction at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, she entertained millions of visitors while showcasing the rich musical heritage of Texas.

Dr. Torres also broke new ground in the entertainment industry and made history by being the first artist to introduce Tejano music to national television audiences. She was also the first Tejano artist to produce a music video aired on MTV and the first Tejana female artist to collaborate with symphony orchestras.

Beyond the stage, Dr. Torres is recognized as a passionate advocate for education, community,  and cultural pride. Known as an “edutainer,” she created a unique musical education program that has reached more than one million students nationwide while earning her PhD in Education and Organizational Leadership.

A special tribute performance featuring 16 beloved classics including: Crazy, Sweet Dreams, I Fall to Pieces, and many more!

 Sweet Dreams of Patsy ushers the audience through the life history of Patsy Cline as it would be told by Patsy herself. Little known facts are shared along with Ms. Cline’s most personal relationships and her experiences in the music business.  

                                                  

Song after hit song is performed to perfection with colorful dialogue, costume changes, video support, and audience participation as Patsy is depicted from her 1950’s to 1963. Older audiences will be thrilled by Torres’ charisma and remarkable incarnation of Ms. Cline. This tribute program is especially popular with retirement community audiences who appreciate the timeless music of the golden era of country.
